Final Post !

As the term comes to end, I want to share my experiences and knowledge gained in my "Educational Technologies" class at Marmara University's ELT department. This class has been my favorite throughout the semester, as I have learned about the various technologies that can be utilized in language classes.

One of our first assignments was to create a blog to share our class projects. I learned how to create a blog on "blogger.com," and though I encountered some technical difficulties, I was able to find solutions through both online research and assistance from my classmates. The collaborative nature of the class allowed me to form friendships and work on projects together.

One such project was podcasting. My partner, Hasan, and I created a challenging podcast which taught me how to create chants that could be useful in language teaching for children. We published the podcast on the popular platform "SPOTIFY." This project not only allowed me to develop my podcasting skills but also solidified my interest in the medium.

Another project we worked on was a "movie review" project, utilizing the collaborative writing feature of "wiki pages." While I believe that these types of pages can be useful for classroom writing exercises, I also acknowledge that the rapid pace of technology may lead to other platforms replacing them in the future.

Finally, this class has been incredibly valuable in my education. The integration of technology in education is becoming increasingly important in the 21st century, and as a language teacher, it is crucial to be familiar with the various tools available to enhance the learning experience for students. My instructor always reminded us that "You cannot control what tools your students will use, but you should be a guide for them by offering guidelines and checklists for the purpose of teaching."
