Flipped classroom

Hi everyone. Today, I'm excited to share my experiences about the "flipped classroom" approach. The flipped classroom is a new approach in ELT. Thanks to flipped classroom approach, the students can use educational content outside the classroom. Through online videos, flipped classroom activities teach the subject outside the classroom and creates time for discussions and activities.

Now, let me introduce my task and my friends Hasan Şendil and Melis Torun. I can tell that many of you know Hasan from the other tasks we’ve completed but Melis is our new task partner! You can check their blogs by clicking their names. We have encountered many problems when we are doing the task. Firstly, it was very hard to adjust the time according to the images because there were sound shifts all the time. Secondly, we struggled to find proper images for the subjects we taught because it is a very abstract topic. We have solved these problems by collaboration. For example, Hasan had experience in adjusting the time and images and we helped him in this task. Melis had experience in finding the proper images and she was successful in that task. I contributed to the example sentences we have written. In general, all of us worked collaboratively in each step of the task. We have only used Canva because it involves all of the materials we needed for the video.

Finally I can say that I enjoyed working on this project. I will continue exploring the flipped approach. Here I will share our video and I hope you enjoy it.
